Dr. Mike Walsh is an expert in Critical Systems Thinking applied to healthcare, community development and the climate crisis and is a member of the Institute of Consulting. He retired as senior lecturer in Management Science at the University of Stirling Management School in 2023 having researched and published on risk, quality, communication, knowledge exchange and leadership in health, welfare and community development. He specialises in helping any group of citizens, from learning disabled to law makers, to work together to analyse complex problems and gain more control over their own lives and communities. He has helped the UN Development Programme and Ministry of Health in Ghana plan local strategic policy responses to climate change, helped an entire community near Glasgow get involved in tackling the challenge of addictions facing them, helped teams of people with serious mental health issues improve healthcare for everyone and helped an NHS Board improve the way it uses knowledge.
