Imad Ahmed works at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, covering climate finance, climate diplomacy and energy advisory for TBI’s government clients. He has been working in international development and investments for over 15 years.
He is a Lib Dem parliamentary spokesperson for Bradford and sits on several Lib Dem affiliated organisations’ executives, including the Liberal International Climate Justice Committee as a representative for the Liberal International British Group; the Green Liberal Democrats; and Liberal Democrat Friends of Palestine. He has published policy outputs for PAF’s European parent, the European Liberal Forum. He published his infrastructure finance PhD thesis as a book with Springer Nature on the nexus between climate change and energy in Zambia. He has published commentaries with a range of popular newspapers across South Asia, Africa, the UK and USA, as well as peer-reviewed research articles in academic journals.
